We celebrated World Emoji Day on July 17 2020 at our school.

Children were explained that emojis are ideograms and smileys used in electronic messages and web pages. These exist in various genres, including facial expressions, common objects, places and types of weather, and animals.

As most of the emojis are yellow in colour,  we celebrated the day as yellow day as well. Yellow colour was introduced as the colour of optimism, glory, sunshine and happiness. Children were also made aware of the fact that the colour stands for freshness, positivity, intellect.

The day began with a fun-filled introduction concerning the colour yellow. Students were dressed up in different shades of yellow and wore emoji hats. It was indeed a visual treat to see the impact of the celebrations on our little angels. It was an amazing learning experience for the young ones as well.
